She was known as "Ellie" to many of her friends and "Granny" to her beloved grandchildren. She was a retired secretary and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.
Ellie was the widow of Samuel Eugene Hutson, Jr. and surviving are two daughters, Kelly Scott and husband Brian of Rock Hill and Daphne Poore and husband John of Simpsonville; one brother, Euris Stanton "Buddy" Glenn, Jr. and wife Helen of Summerville; two sisters, Linda Cochran and husband Samuel, and Shirley McLeod; five grandchildren, Samuel, Reid and Grace Eleanor Scott, and Abby and Layton Poore; several nieces and nephews.
