Donna was one of three children born to the late Leonard and Mildred Hutchinson in Sandy Hook, Kentucky.
Donna was a graduate of Sandy Hook High School and Morehead State University. Her career as a Medical Technologist began with Dr. William H. Cartmel in Maysville, Kentucky. From there she held jobs at Dr. William Rye's office in Flemingsburg as well as Fleming County Hospital and Meadowview Regional Hospital. Donna enjoyed caring for sick people. She also enjoyed spending time in her vegetable garden as well as canning. In her younger years, Donna liked to race cars and motorcycles. She was a pistol who never met a stranger. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Heartfelt thanks to Barletta Fearin, Sheila Sweet, and Lillian Fawns for their tireless effort in caring for her.
She is survived by her daughter, Twila Dawn Mills (Allen, her favorite son-in-law) of Raleigh, North Carolina. Donna is also survived by her sister, Naomi Barber (Eric) ; her nephew, Everett Barber III; her grandnephew, Mitchell Barber; among other relatives and friends.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 24, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Voiers officiating.
Donna will be laid to rest in the Fleming County Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Woody Graham, Everett Barber III, Tony McGlone, Marcus Garber, and Mitchell Barber.
Visitation will be at 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
