Edward J. HUTCHINSON, 79, Castle Hotel, Peru, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the
Veterans Hospital, Fort Wayne. He had been in failing health a year.
He was born in Henry Township Nov. 1, 1903, to James H. and Maude BOZARTH
HUTCHINSON. He lived in the Peru community 20 years. A retired telegraph lineman for the
railroad, he was a member of the Peru VFW, being a veteran of the Seabees in World War II.
Surviving are a daughter, Elaine LARGENT, Fayetteville, N.C.; two brothers, Judson
[HUTCHINSON], Rt. 2, Rochester, and Ned [HUTCHINSON], Pompano Beach, Fla., ad three
grandchildren. A brother preceded in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Haupert Funeral Home, Akron, due to remodeling of the Sheetz Funeral Home. The Rev. Wayne JOHNSON will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday.
