A 1936 graduate of Anderson High School, she had been married for 47 years to O. Nelson Bailey, who died in 1986.
Mrs. Bailey was an award-winning local artist, whose work had been displayed throughout the region. She had been a member of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority and the Southside Art League.
She had lived in Anderson, Fortville, Indianapolis, and Greenwood, Indiana in that order.
Survivors include two sons, David and Charles (Diane); a grandson, Joseph (Josie); and great grandson, Jayce; brother, Floyd Hurst (deceased); sisters, Juanita Shroyer (Hubert-deceased) and Carole Strock (Richard); plus many nieces and nephews.
