AVINGER, TX - Services for Gertrude P. Hunter, 87, will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel with Chaplain Wayne Norvell of Kinsman Hospice officiating. Interment will follow in Rose-Neath Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2009 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA.
Mrs. Hunter was born June 13, 1921 in Ida, LA and died June 6, 2009 in Avinger, TX. She was a member of Fellowship Tabernacle and the VFW's Women's Auxiliary.
Her husband, Aubert Hunter, sons, J.C. and George Farmer, brother, Carmel Price, and grandchildren, Debbie Farmer, Shelia Alario, Alton Savoie and Charles Farmer preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hunter is survived by son, Henry Farmer of Houston, TX, daughters, Earline Diek and Patricia Dantin both of Galliano, LA, 22 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Rose-Neath Funeral Home
