Euclid Lodge No. 65 A.F. & A.M.

HUNT, George H. was born March 6, 1847 in Deruyter, Madison County, New York the son of Anson Hunt and Lydia Wilcox. He attended the district schools and received a good commercial education. He worked with his father in the creamery that his father established. He married Estella Dorlisca Tuttle in 1867 in Madison County. After his marriage he went to work as a foreman in another creamery in Boone County, New York until about 1873. He moved with his family to Waukesha, Wisconsin where he worked as an officer in a reform school for a year. In 1874 he moved to Elgin where he was again employed as a foreman in C. W. Gold’s creamery for about three years. He then moved to Naperville and built and operated his own creamery. He was raised a Master Mason August 25, 1885. He died December 25, 1899 in Mazomanie, Dane County, Wisconsin and was buried in the Naperville Cemetery.
