Burnsville, N.C. - Julie Hughes, 92, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital.
She was the wife of Roy S. Hughes, who died in 1999.
Surviving are two daughters, Jeanette Silver (Arcemus), of Asheville, and Brenda Silver (Rev. Paul), of Bakersville; four sons, Bud Hughes (Patsy), Johnnie Hughes (Betty), and Tim Hughes, all of Burnsville, and Jackie Hughes (Janie), of Conover; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. The Revs. G.E. Freeman and Tony Griffin will officiate.
The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Pete Young Cemetery.
