Sissonville Man Dies, Leaving 19 Children.

Joseph Hughart, 82, retired farmer and father of 19 children, died yesterday at his home, Oct. 29, at Sissonville. (Grapevine Rd) The body was removed to the Cunnnigham Mortuary pending arrangments.

Surviving are his wife Mrs Emma Hughart: nine sons, Fred Albert and Cinet, all of Charleston, John Dayton of RFD 5, Charleston; William of Elkview; Clement, Denver and Delbert, all of Sissonville, and Dayton in the army. 10 daughters. Mrs. Sarah Jackson, Mrs. Minnie Rust and Mrs. Pearl Miller, all of Charleston; Mrs. Grace Belle Lipscomb; Mrs. Ida Cobb, Montgomery, Mrs. Grover Stonestreet, Martins Branch; Mrs. Lessie Wolf and Mrs. Dessie Wolf, both of Trace Fork, and Mrs. Mamie Moss and Mrs Altha Shaffer, both of Sissonville: 63 grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs Belle Tyree, Dunbar, and Mrs. Sallie Smith, Elkview, and two brothers, Albert and William, both of Charleston.

Oct. 31, 1943 Services for Joseph Hughart, 82 who died Friday at his home at Sissonville. will be held at the residence at 2 p.m. today. Rev. Henry Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the Hughart Cemetery on Tuppers Creek , Legg Fork.
