Ray E. Huffman
Heyworth -- Ray E. Huffman, 86, of Heyworth died at 7:24 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 10, 1999) at the ASTA Care Center, Bloomington.
His funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Heyworth, the Rev. Vernon L. Oakley officiating. Burial will be in Heyworth Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Heyworth Ambulance Service.
He was born Dec. 11, 1912, in Covell, a son of Everett F. and Imo Nicol Huffman. He married Faye Plowman. After her death, he married Rachel B. Flesher. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Ray Huffman, Jr., St. Cloud, Fla.; three daughters, Roberta L. Curtis, Bloomington; Rae Ann (Barry) Lorenz, Spencer, N.C.; and Ina L. Walk, Heyworth; two sisters, Pearl (Wayne) Bottomley and Betty (Darwin) Hinthorn, both of Bloomington; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Larry Huffman; one sister, one brother; twin granddaughters; and one grandson, Steve Huffman.
He was a retired machinist and farmer. He was a member of Heyworth Christian Church.
