Born June 19 1854, probably in Warren County, MO, Catherina Elisabeth was the daughter of Wilhelm Hünefeld, and Cath. Maria nee "Bockstagels." Catherina Elisabeth was baptized 30 July 1854. Immanuel/s UCC, Holstein, MO, records list her Godparent, Cath Maria Buddeke. Elisabeth "Hunnefeld" was confirmed at this church in the class of April 11, 1869. She appears to have lived with her mother until her mother's death in 1901. After this she lived with her brother, William, until sometime after 1910.

Miss Huenefeldt died at the State Hospital No. 1 in Fulton, Callaway, MO. Her MO Death Certificate indicates only that she was interred in Columbia, MO; no specific cemetery was listed. A search by kind Findagrave volunteers, Sue and Doug, of Columbia Cemetery, Columbia, discovered: Cemetery office has no record of this person. Therefore, until further research confirms her final resting place, Miss Huenefeldt's memorial will be with her brother and sister in Riverview Cemetery, Jefferson City. It's also possible that she rests at side of her mother in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Babbtown.
