Services for Linda Jean Delk, 69, of Tyler, will be held on Friday, July 10, 2009, at 5 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Stuart Baskin officiating.

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Mrs. Delk passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at her residence in Tyler.

She was born Sept. 20, 1939, in Amarillo to Larry and Elda Hillmer Hubbard.

Mrs. Delk was a graduate of Texas Christian University, class of 1961, and was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She and her husband Bob worked at KTVT, Channel 11 in Fort Worth, after graduation. They moved to Tyler in 1964 to work at various positions at KLTV Channel 7. She was the business manager for her family's business, Delk Photography, beginning in 1974.

She was a member of the Professional Photographers of America and an associate director of the Texas Rose Festival Association. Linda was also a member of First Presbyterian Church in Tyler. She enjoyed water skiing, snow skiing, archery, scuba diving and various other outdoor sports. But most of all, she always put her family first above all things.

Mrs. Delk was preceded in death by her father and by her son, Scott.

Linda is survived by her loving family, including her husband of 46 years, Bob Delk; mother, Elda Hubbard of Anthony, N.M.; son, Andy Delk; grandson, Andrew Scott Delk; sister, Donna Stout and husband Stan of Anthony, N.M.; and by several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Gary Bright, Bill Clayton, Dan Higgins, Stan Stout, Dennis Stout, Tim Denton and John Gaston.

Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 5 p.m., one hour prior to the service, Friday, July 10, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, Tyler, 75703.

Memorials in honor of Linda Jean Delk may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1301 S. Broadway Ave., Tyler, 75701.
