Gay E. Hower, 76, of Shelbyville died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at her residence.
She was a member of First Christian Church Lawrenceburg, Waddy Knitters, Embroiderers' Guild of America and a retired teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward H. & Billie Brooks Evans.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Tommy Hower, Shelbyville; daughter, Sue Lou Smith (Glenn), Lawrenceburg; son, Malcolm Hower (Donna), Louisville; and 4 granddaughters, Chelsea Hower, Louisville; Emily Smith, Lawrenceburg; Anna Hower, Louisville and Amy Kate Smith, Lawrenceburg.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Shannon Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Wheeler and Rev. Edward Coleman officiating. Visitation will be 6-9 P.M. Sunday, March 16th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.
