Charles Houghmaster died Friday evening at the home of his son, Melville Houghmaster, in Carthage. He was born In the town of Greig on March 13, 1845. His wife Martha, died a number of years ago. Failing health made it necessary for Mr. Houghmaster to give up his occupation as a farmer seven months ago and he went to live with his son. The farm was near his birthplace. He is survived by the son with whom he made his home and by one daughter, Mrs. Ferguson, also of Carthage. The funeral services were held Sunday at Carthage, with interment at Glendale.
