Lillie Alice Hopkins, 89, of Columbus died at 5:05 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Hopkins was a member of First Baptist Church.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street, with the Rev. Jon Carlstrom officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.

Born in Elizabethtown, Ky., April 11, 1914, Mrs. Hopkins was the daughter of Edgar and Lucy Oiler Hornback. She married Otis L. Hopkins March 11, 1947.

Survivors include sons, David Norris of Homosassa, Fla., and Robert Norris of Panama City, Fla.; daughters, Allene Hargett of Hartsville and Alice E. Williamson of Homosassa; stepchildren, Loraine Quinn and Bessie Hadley, both of Columbus, and Kathryn Burton of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren and stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on July 17, 1969; and 11 brothers and sisters.
