Eula Joy Horine Bentz Boldery

Mrs. Eula Joy Bentz Boldrey, age 81, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on October 22, 1933 in Trimble County. She was the loving daughter of the late, Douglas and Corine Hood Horine. She resided most of her life in Jefferson County and was a graduate of North Madison High School where she participated in theater and was a cheerleader. Joy was united in marriage in November of 1952 to Manley Bentz, Jr. This union was blessed with two sons, Steve and Greg. She was employed with Grote Industries until 1974 as a machine operator. On July 6, 1963 she was united in marriage to John William Boldrey, Jr. in Carrollton, Kentucky. From 1976 to 1996 she was employed in the cutting room at U.S. Shoe Corporation in Madison. Joy was a life member of the Madison VFW Post 1969 Auxiliary and Jefferson Post 9, of the American Legion Auxiliary. Joy also held membership in the Breast Cancer Awareness Group and Madison Moose Lodge No. 765 Auxiliary. She was a Sunday school teacher at North Madison Baptist Church. Joy enjoyed camping, fishing and bowling. She was a devoted wife, loving mom and grandma. Joy died on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at 5:00 a.m. at the Hanover Health & Rehab Center in Hanover, Indiana.

Joy will be missed by her loving sons, Steve Bentz and his wife, Pam of Madison, Indiana, Greg Bentz and his wife, Teri of Madison, Indiana; her step daughters, Patty Boldrey Jackson and her fiancée, Kenny McCoy of Milton, Kentucky, Linda Boldrey Gray and her husband, Dennis of Kent, Indiana, Donna Boldrey Perry and her husband, Mike of Madison, Indiana; her step son, John D. Boldrey and his wife, Tess of Columbus, Indiana; her grandchildren; her great grandchildren; her step grandchildren; her step great grandchildren; her half brothers, Mark Horine and Joe Horine of Greenfield, Indiana; her half sister, Denise Rohrig of Greenfield, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Corine Hood Horine, her first husband, Manley Bentz, Jr., her second husband, John William Boldrey, Jr. died April 17, 2008, her brother, Delbert Horine, her three great grandchildren, Hannah Wenzler, Dylan Bentz and Brandon Paul Jones.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 27, 2015, at 12:00 pm, by Bro. Bob Hicks at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery,1415 North Gate Road in Madison, Indiana

Friends may call Friday from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.

American Legion Auxiliary Service
Jefferson Post 9, of the American Legion Auxiliary will conduct services on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre.
