WATERLOO - Dean Lyle Hoppenworth, 53, of Waterloo, died at Allen Hospital on Friday, Feb. 26.

He was born April 28, 1956, in Waterloo, son of Edgar and Velma Green Hoppenworth.

Mr. Hoppenworth graduated from Waterloo West High School and continued his education at Hawkeye Community College, receiving an associate degree in computer design and engineering. He was employed by Terex, Waverly.

Survived by: his father and stepmother, Ed and Sally of Waterloo; two brothers, Dennis (Susan) of Balltown and Dave of Waterloo; and a sister, Sheila (Paul) Magee of Athens, Texas.

Preceded in death by: his mother.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ascension Lutheran Church, with burial at a later date. Public visitation for an hour before services Tuesday at the church. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.
