Carole (Boeckel) Hoppe passed away unexpectedly Jan. 12, 2015, at her home in Clark Fork, Idaho at the age of 68.

Carole was born May 11, 1946, in Beulah, N.D. After working many years on her father’s farm, she moved to Wallace, Idaho, where she married her first husband, owned and operated a café and had two sons.

She married Robert “Bob” Hoppe on April 6, 1981, and moved to Chattaroy, Wash., where they lived for 19 years. During those years, Carole owned and operated two cafés.

They moved to Clark Fork in the spring of 2000.

For the last 15 years, Carole worked at Cabinet Mountain Bar and Grill, where she brightened the lives of many people. She was loved and respected by the whole community and will be deeply missed by her many friends and family.

Carole was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Hoppe on Dec. 1, 2005; and her parents, Herbert and Sylvia Boeckel. She is survived by a sister, two sons, and three grandchildren [survivors names omitted].

Graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Spokane, Wash., on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 1 p.m.--Bonner County Daily Bee, Jan. 27, 2015
