Jackie Hoover, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Boone Hoover, was seriously injured Sunday evening on a county road near Athol, Kansas. Jackie's car and a truck loaded with scrap iron collided. Jackie was taken to the Smith County Hospital for treatment and was sent on to St. Francis Hospital in Wichita for brain surgery. Mrs. Henry Hoover accompanied him, and she called back Monday to say he came through surgery and knew her.
