Died in Willamette Valley Medical Center, McMinnville. Daughter of Verne and Ann Hegg Honeyman. In 1937, the family moved to Marshfield, then in 1943 to Roseburg, where she completed her schooling. She an Corbett Lee Downing married Nov. 21, 1951, in Roseburg. She worked in the office of Freightways in Roseburg, as office manager for Stauffer's in California and as a telephone operator in Beaverton. Mrs. Downing and her husband also operated their own appliance store in Tigard in the 1960s. She moved with her family to Amity in 1971. "She will always be remembered by her family as a wonderfully loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother", the family said. Mrs. Downing collected paper dolls and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Survivors include her husband of Amity; a daughter, Cammie DeRaeve of Amity; a son, Stephen Downing of Lake Oswego; a sister, Joan Coulston of Amity; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Denny Downing, in 2004.
