Wife of Dr. Ned Arlo Arganbright

Mildred Holmes Arganbright Stephenson Court Apartments, died Saturday morning in Freeport Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

A lifelong member of Embury United Methodist Church, she also was a member of the Freeport YWCA, Elks Auxiliary, and the Freeport Country Club, and a 50-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Born July 11, 1895 in Freeport, she was the daughter of Charles S. and Rebecca (Yount) Holmes. She was married to Dr. Ned Arganbright November 16, 1918 in Hattisburg, Mississippi. He died March 8, 1961.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert C. Krogull and Mrs. J. M. Hartsough, both of Freeport; a son, Ned H. of Grand Rapids, Michigan; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A sister and two brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. The Rev. J. Steven Mindrup, associate pastor of Embury United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.
