Funeral services for Martha M. Holmes, 86, of Rosenberg, are scheduled 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Rosenberg. Dr. Donnie Melton will officiate, with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Steve Holmes, Gary Holmes, Carl Holmes, Tommy Holmes, Kenan Holmes, and Clinton Holmes.
Mrs. Holmes died April 24 at her residence. She was born Aug. 9, 1907 in Turkey Creek, La. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rosenberg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Holmes.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Luvine and Mary Ann Holmes of Richmond; a daughter and her husband, Maxine and Daniel Pustka of Rosenberg; grandchildren, Carol Pustka of Bastrop, Steve Holmes of Rosenberg, Gary Holmes of Fulshear, Carl Holmes of Rosenberg, and Ginny Pettigrew of Rosenberg; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Rosenberg. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday at Garmany & Carden Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Services are under the direction of Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors in Rosenberg.
