Dan "Jay" Holmes passed on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 6:30 PM at home. Dan was the son of the late Henry and Velma Holmes. Beloved husband of Patsy Marie Holmes. Devoted father of 1 son, Jerome C. Bush, Sr. (Lyneisa Bush); 6 daughters, Sonyia M. Riley (Benny Riley, Sr.), Velma Jones, Dion Gordon, Aretha Adkins, Belinda Holmes, and Laura Johnson. Also survived by 9 loving grandchildren, 2 precious great-grandchildren, 5 sisters, 2 brothers, 3 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Dan's life in the Chapel of the Roses of Charbonnet-Labat Funeral Home on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Gilbert Scie, Officiant. Interment in Carrollton Cemetery . Visitation at 9:00 AM.
