PALERMO - Thelma Hollenbeck Ackerman, 70, of County Route 45, died Monday at Lee Memorial Hospital (Fulton) after a long illness. A native of Fulton, Mrs. Ackerman resided most of her life in the Palermo area. Mrs. Ackerman was a dispatcher for more than 15 years with the Palermo Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are her husband, George P.; a sister, Shirley A. Clark of Palermo; and
several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, the Rev. Allen J. Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Palermo Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. today at the funeral home, 910 Fay Street. Contributions may be made to the Palermo Volunteer Fire Department or McFee Ambulance Corps, Mexico.
