Elizabeth Ellen Stephens, daughter of William and Nancy Jane Stephens, was born August 11, 1875. in Apponose Co., Iowa. At the age of 76, she passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ed Rissman, near Enterprise. At the age of two, she came to Kansas with her family by covered wagon. The family homesteaded near Bennington and later moved near Enterprise. On February 15, 1911, she was married to Albert M. Hollenback of Hope and one son, Stephen M. was born. In 1919, the family moved to Abilene where they lived for 19 years before moving to Florence. Mr. Hollenback died in Florence. She was a member of the Methodist Church both at Enterprise and at Florence. Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday, February 6 at the Irwin Funeral home with the Rev. George W. Gish officiating. Burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
