Albert Eugene Holbrook, son of Mr. And Mrs. Frank Holbrook of Ola, died Sunday at the University of Idaho where he was a student, after an illness of but seven days from spinal meningitis, a complication following an attack of the flu. The body was brought to his parent's home, where the funeral was held. Burial was in the Ola Cemetery.
Mr. Holbrook was a native of Idaho, being born August 5, 1908, on the Holbrook ranch near Ola. There his life was spent, except for the time he was away at school. He graduated from the Boise high school in 1927, and was a sophomore in the School of Agriculture at the University of Idaho at the time of his death. He was a bright student and his future was one of promise. He is survived by his parents, a sister, Mrs. P.E. Bryant of Boise, and four brothers; Sumner, John and J.I. of Union Gasp, Wash., and E.M. Holbrook, maunal training instructor of the Emmett high school, and his fiancÚ, Miss Anna Mary Henderson of Boise. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and a member of the Ola Methodist church.
