Mr. Holabird was the owner of a small engine repair shop. He served our country in the United States Marines during the Korean War, Vietnam, the Cuban crisis, Okinawa, and the Philippines.
Mr. Holabird is survived by his wife, Nell Holabird of Quitman; three daughters, Linda Lee Stout and her husband, Robert, of Jacksonville, Emily Sachi of Quitman, and Emley Dehedra Gifford and her husband, Jerry, of Quitman; one stepson, Jimmy Smith of Quitman; his stepmother, Alice Pontius; two brothers, Ed Holabird and Bert Holabird; two sisters, Myrle Holabird and Gail Woodland; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Mr. Holabird is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.
