A family graveside service for Joseph William Hogg of Bellingham will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bayview Cemetery, with the Rev. Al Archer officiating. A public memorial service will be at 2 p.m. March 25 at Bellingham Bible Chapel.
Mr. Hogg died Saturday, March 11, 2000, at St. Joseph Hospital. He was 79.
Born Aug. 25, 1920, to Joseph D. and Janie (Burt) Hogg in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada, he had been a Bellingham resident since he was a child.
Mr. Hogg worked as vice president of the loan department at Bellingham National Bank.
Mr. Hogg served as a board member for the Lighthouse Mission Ministries and was active in child evangelism for many years.
He loved sports and played on teams in Bellingham for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, of Bellingham sons William R. Hogg of Bellingham and David L. Hogg of Birch Bay daughter RoseLee Cisneros of Burlington sisters Grace Pollock of Bellingham and Jeanie McKelvie of Summerland, B.C. 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
