REBECCA—Services for Albert Hobby will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn, with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Hobby, 84, died Monday, May 29, 2000. He was born in Turner County, son of the late Henry and Fannie Wade Hobby. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a retired farmer. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Elsie Hobby; children Nancy H. Lumpkin of Eagle River, Alaska, and Teresa H. Winn of Melbourne, Fla.; brother and sisters Archie Hobby of Rebecca, Henry Etta H. Dixon of Leesburg and Velma Dyrda of Walnut Creek, Calif.; and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
