Margaret Evelyn Pugmire, 84, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born in Burley, Idaho to Charles William and Mary Evelyn Welch Hobbs.

She married Jack Christensen Pugmire on March 13, 1951. Their marriage was later solemnized on July 2, 1964 in the Logan LDS Temple.

Margaret was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During her lifetime she served in many callings in the church. Her love for the Savior and the Gospel was very important to her.

She loved her family with all her heart and also had a great capacity to love others. She enjoyed camping with her family and loved sharing her talents of oil painting and writing poetry. Everyone always knew when she was in a room by her infectious laugh and her wonderful sense of humor.

Margaret is survived by her beloved eternal companion, Jack Christensen Pugmire; her four children, Kristine (Keith) Luke of American Falls, ID; Shirley Yearsley of Ogden; Daniel (Lannis) Pugmire of Roy; and John (Lisa) Pugmire of Nibley; 18 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren; and her younger brother, William Junior (Margaret) Hobbs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles William and Mary Evelyn Welch Hobbs; her brothers, George Henry and Charles Dean Hobbs and daughter-in-law, Diane Pugmire.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
