Mrs Grace Hipkins, 85, of Good Samaritan Home, formerly
of 611 Country Club Heights, died at 2:30 a.m. Friday (Dec.
31, 1982) in the home where she had been a patient for the
last two months.
Mrs. Hipkins was born Feb. 2, 1897 in Riverside Township,
She was the daughter of James and Susan Riggs Fielding. She married Charles Hipkins on Sept. 1, 1913 in Quincy. He died Jan. 1, 1951. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ.
Surviving are a son Leonard Hipkins of El Cajon, Calif.;
three daughters, Mrs Howard (Jessie) Arnett and Mrs. Jim
(Nettie) Kramer, both of Quincy, Il. and Mrs. Joe (Betty) Ulics of Vaciville, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs Cora Wright, Mrs. Mary Ann Davis and Mrs. Elizabeth Morris, all of Le Mesa, Calif. and Mrs. Helen Gower of El Cajon, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her husband; three sons, Charles Richard 1978, Louis Delbert 1921 and Joseph James 1924; three brothers, Jessie Fielding, Robert Fielding, and William Fielding; two sisters, Jennie Fielding and Emma Fielding Woodyard.
