June Hill Bowen age 85 passed away Feb. 14, 2015 in Logan, Utah. She was born June 2, 1929 in Wellsville, Utah to Alexander Ray P Hill & Elizabeth Hendry Murray. The youngest of 6 children.

June met the love of her live and her fairytale prince, Frederick David Bowen while in high school where she was a cheerleader and drum majorette.

The were married June 28, 1848 on the Logan LDS Temple. Sixty-five years of marriage was a testament of their love.
To this union were 2 children born. A son and a daughter.

She worked at Clearfield Cheese, Wurlitzter, Cache Master, and Mr. Mac. She also worked as a seamstress and tailor at her home.

She loved the outdoors. Camping, snowmobiling and the trips to Bear Lake. She was an avid gardener, both floral and vegetable.

June had a quick wit and was known to turn a phrase of two. She was able to keep a party going with her bright sayings and cheerful attitude.

June was very involved with the Mendon May Days & May Pole Dance. She was active in Just-a-Mere Club and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers as well as being very active with her positions in the LDS Church. Two which were special to both she and Fred were Dance Director & Primary Chorister.

She was the care giver to her sweetheart for 5 years at home and then another 8 while he was in a local Care Facility.

June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her siblings and their spouses: Elda(Carl) Christiansen, Ray M(Ellen) Hill, Beth(Wendell) Munk, LeDean(Bill) Campbell, and her twin Col. Jay M(Dolores) Hill; and brother-in-law, Robert W Bowen.

She is survived by her 2 children and their spouses, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Viewing and visitation will be at noon on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at the Nelson Funeral Home in Logan.

Funeral Services will be Feb. 20, 2015, at noon, at the old Mendon 4th Ward LDS Church with Bishop Mark Montgomery conducting. Viewing prior to services at 10:30.

Burial will be in the Mendon Cemetery.
