WEDDING BELLS Breen - Hill
At St. Mary's church in Canandaigua, Wednesday morning, June 1st, at 8 o'clock, was solemnized the marriage of Miss Helen Cotter Hill, daughter of Alfred C. Hill, to Leo Hamilton Breen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Breen. Rev M. B. Groden performed the ceremony in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends. The bride wore a gown of grey georgette with black hat and carried a shower bouquet of bride roses. She was attended by her sister, Miss Margueritte Hill, who wore blue taffeta with hat to match. The groom was attended by his brother, Jeremiah Breen of Canandaigua. Miss Kathryn Farrell played the wedding marches. Following the church service a reception was held at the home of the bride. Decorations there carried out a color scheme of yellow and white.
Mr. and Mrs. Breen left Wednesday afternoon for Toronto. From there they will go to Philadelphia, where the groom is to report for duty as quartermaster sergeant in the Marine Corps on June 18th. They expect to reside at Paris Island, S. C. The bride is well known in Victor having been employed in the office of the Locke Insulator Mfg. Co.

Mrs. Helen C. Breen, 77, of 215 Park Street, died yesterday. Mrs. Breen was employed at the VA Hospital for 16 years prior to her retirement in 1963. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Canandaigua Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. John Mary Decker of Pittsford, a sister, Margaruite Hill of Canandaigua, and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at the John C. Johnson Funeral Home today and tomorrow. A prayer service will be held there Saturday at 9:30 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
