A. Conrad Hill, a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007. Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Spry Serenity Chapel, Florence, and one hour before the service Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, (from 10-11 a.m.), with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel, with Brian Jarrett and Leon Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Hill was a member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, where he was a former assistant business manager. He served on the IBEW Board for many years and helped found the Electrical Workers Federal Credit Union. He was retired from Reynolds Alloys and managed the Florence branch of Bangston Motor Homes after retirement.

He was recently preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Cleo Perry Hill; and by his parents, Mary Lou and Noah Lee Hill Sr.; a sister, Ila Quillen; and brothers, Noah Lee Hill Jr., Reed Hill and Jim Hill.

Mr. Hill is survived by his daughters, Gwen King and husband, David, Debbie Cabler and husband, Bill; five grandchildren, Andy King and wife, Kristin, Michael King and wife, Carrie, Holley West and husband, Randy, Christy Cabler and Ben Cabler and wife, Sarah. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, Wesley Staples, Sydney Staples and Caleb King; two sisters, Marcelle Holloway and husband, Martin, Elise Burgess; sister-in-law, Juanita Hill; brother and sister-in-law, Helen and Sammy Arnold; 11 beloved nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers will be family members

Honorary pallbearers will be IBEW board members and staff, Jackson Heights Sunday School Class, Nelson Word, James Hagood, Paul Reid and Lonnie and Vonda Briley.

A special thanks to caregivers, Linda Smothers and Hospice of Tennessee Valley.
