Zoe Hillman dies; former circus performer
Pleasant Hill, Ill--
Mrs. Zoe M. Hillman, 69, of Pleasant hill, a former vaudeville and circus performer, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 1977 in Illini community Hospital in Pittsfield. Mrs. Hillman traveled extensively in the United States as a trapeze artist and a singer until 1940. She also sang on WTAD Radio in Quincy during the 1920's. She was born in Glenwood Springs, CO, Oct. 12, 1908, a daughter of William and Eva Billings Merriam. She was member of the United Methodist Church. She married Duane Hillman Nov. 24, 1928 in Woodstock.
Services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Ward-Lummis Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Rice will officiate. Burial will be in Crescent Heights Cemetery.
