Helen Elaine Leavitt, age 79, died peacefully in a Salt Lake City hospital on September 6, 1993.

Born August 31, 1914 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Earl K. and Maude West Higson. She married Norman Murray in 1934 and later divorced. In 1947, she married Ray Hill Leavitt who died in 1973. She was a Utah Democratic Delegate for John F. Kennedy and had a great joy for life and love for her family.

She is survived by son, Norman Charles Murray, Jr. and wife, Shirley; daughter, Wilma (Willi) Leavitt Anderson; and three grandchildren, Michelle Anderson, Brad Murray, and Michael Murray.

Graveside services will be held Friday, September 10, 1993, at 12 noon, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, SLC, Utah. Funeral directors, Evans & Early Mortuary.
