Michael E. Highlander, 59, of Midland, passed away Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at Bethesda North Hospital.

He was born Aug. 11, 1955 to Anna Dinkins Highlander and the late Ralph Highlander.

Michael enjoyed movies, woodworking, dance, fishing, motorcycles, cooking and his family.

He is survived by his children, Michael Eugene Highlander Jr., Brian Michael Highlander and Anna Rose Highlander; grandchild, Arabella "Bella" Rose Highlander; and brothers and sisters, Patty Buchanan, Rhonda Haygood and Gary Highlander.

Memorial services with military honors, with Jim Krusling officiating, will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, at 3 p.m. at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, where friends will be received from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
