Glenn was born April 15, 1936 in Gothenburg, NE to Franklin and Dorothy (Lauer) Hicken. He grew up and received his education in Gothenburg. On October 19, 1954 he entered the Air Force and served during both the Korean and Vietnam War. He was united into marriage to Jayne (Mumper) Hicken on August 10, 1960, in Las Vegas, Nevada where they resided. He retired after 26 years serving in the Air Force to Kearney, NE where he worked for Eakes Office Products. He enjoyed fishing, modeling, and computers.
He is survived by his wife; son, Lance Hicken of Denver, CO; daughter, Paula Stoner and husband Craig of Kearney; brothers, Robert Hicken of Gothenburg, NE; Ralph Hicken of Ann Arbor, MI; sister, Betty Hubbert of Gothenburg, NE; grandchildren, Elliott Hicken of Edge Water, CO, Camilla Stoner of Glendale, AZ, Macy Stoner of Kearney, Michael Hicken of Denver, CO.
He is preceded in death by both parents.
