Catherine Louise Cornwell, 91, of Grandview, Mo., died Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at her home. She was born Dec. 2, 1922, at Ocheltree, Kan., the daughter of William Arthur and Marjorie (Russell) Hiatt. Catherine was employed at Bendix Corp., and retired after 32 years as an electronic assembler. She was a member of the Stilwell, Kan., United Methodist Church. She helped all who was in need, made the lives of many people so much brighter, and was a friend to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. Survivors include her husband, Don Cornwell, of the home; two sons, Phillip Oldham, Grandview, and Russell Oldham (Janet), Blanchard, Okla.; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, March 24, at the Penwell-Gabel Louisburg Chapel. Private burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
