Jean B. Brown, 77, of Port Crane, New York, died at 8 a.m., Sunday, September 28, 2003, at her home.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Keith Brown; six children and their families, Wanda and Duane Niles, Nineveh, Louise and Charles Youngs, Windsor, Le and Judy Brown, Vestal, Debbie LaVare, Nichols, Phyllis Hopkins, Concord, N.C., Jeffrey and Vicki Brown, Port Crane; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters and brother-in-law, Nancy and Albert Benjamin, Binghamton, Lorraine Strope, Glen Aubrey; two brothers and sister-in-law, Russell and Elaine Heverly, St. Cloud, Fla., Curtis Heverly Jr., Binghamton; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Edna Hendrickson, Berkshire, LaVerne and Elsie Brown, Marathon, David and Edith Brown, Falls, Pa., Dale and Dorothy Brown, Otego, Nancy Quimet, Sidney, Donald and Rosie Brown, Virginia Beach, Va., Lloyd and Betty Lou Brown, Cortland; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Curtis and Grace (Smith) Heverly Sr.; three sisters, Norma Lennon, Florence Hotaling, and Velma Valenti.

Funeral services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home, 69-71 Maple St., Harpursville, on Thursday at 11 a.m. Rev. William Fowler, Pastor of Bethel Chapel, Harpursville, will officiate. Burial will be in New Ohio Cemetery, Tunnel. The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
