Frances Adams, age 68, of Jasper passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Rosewood II Assisted Living.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 3pm at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas.

The family will greet friends from 2pm until the time of service.

A native of Kirbyville, Texas, she graduated from Buna High School in 1964, attended college at Lamar School of Vocational Nursing, the University of Texas, as well as McLenman Junior College in Waco, Texas. She worked in the healthcare profession for many years as an administrator of nursing homes. She started her career at Buna Medical Center and Nursing Home, then on to Green Acres Convalescent Center, Pinewood Manor, Holiday Pines Lodge and she was responsible with opening Avalon Place in 1985. She was a troubleshooter for the State of Texas for many years until retirement due to health problems.

She is preceded in death by her parents Lonnie and Laura Mae Herrin, daughter Lorie Ann Adams (36146628), sisters Trudy Toten and Mary Lynn Herrin, brothers Dwain Solly (26054190) and Lonnie D. Herrin.

She is survived by her sons Lonnie Dwain Adams of Buna, Texas and Charles Edward Adams of Victoria, Texas and grandchildren Colby Adams, Chris Adams, Austin Adams and Kelsie Adams, a sister Ludie Lampin of Jasper, Texas and a brother Robert Lee Herrin of Jasper, Texas.
