Nora was survived by her sons: Bobby Serrano (wife Mayo) of Beatty, Nevada; Howard Gurule (companion Valerie Trujillo), Nick Gurule (companion Eunice Nadine Vigil), and Paul Gurule (ex-wife Rosa Gurule) of Hernandez; daughter Evelyn Wilson of Bloomfield, New Mexico and her sons: Porfie Jr. Martinez of Salt Lake City, Utah, Joe Lee Martinez (wife Dorthy) of Grand Junction, Colorado; and Vitalio Martinez of Seattle, Washington; ex-daughter-in-law Julie Hernandez of Alcalde; grandson Johnny West of Hagerman, Idaho; brothers: LeeRoy (wife Lenora) of Española and Emilio (wife Ambrocia) of Coyote; sisters: Rebecca Kasl of Overton, Nevada, Rose Ercilia Edwards of Murray, Utah and Maria Herrera of Española.
Nora was a hard working lady. She loved to work with her garden and flowers. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She worked at the Española Hospital for 25 years as the head cook and had even moved to Burley, Idaho and worked for a potato factory.
Public visitation and devotional service were on 3 Aug 2014 at The Rock Christian Fellowship in Española. Funeral service was on 4 Aug 2014 at The Rock Christian Fellowship. Burial followed in the Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde. Pallbearers: Johnny West, Delbert Herrera, Walter Herrera and Levi Herrera Jr.
