ELVIN L. HERRE, age 79 of Florida, formerly of Gary, passed away Sunday January 2, 2011.
He is survived by three children: David Herre of Zephyrhills, FL, Larry (Mary Jo) Herre of Rensselaer, IN, Lisa Herman of Zephyrhills, FL; sister, Eleanor Porter of Rensselaer, IN; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two sisters: Karen Ringen and Phyllis Black; one brother: Gene Herre
He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Crown Point and was a retired employee from ANR Pipeline in St. John.
