Ruby Hendrix Hembree, 81, formerly of 145 D Street, widow of Frank Hembree, died October 6, 2010 at McCall Hospice House.
A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Jack and Odelia Childress Hendrix, she was a homemaker and a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mildred Wood of Simpsonville, Kathy Prince of Simpsonville, Dorothy Taylor of Greer and Ann Edmonds of Greer; a brother, Robert Hendrix of Greer; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hembree was predeceased by a daughter, Maxine Leonard and a son, Wayne Hembree.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church cemetery conducted by Rev. Sam Marcengill and Dr. Christopher Jackson. The family will receive friends following the service. The families are at their respective homes.
