SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO - William Bacel Hendricks, 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2003, in Santa Fe, New Mexico incident to age. He was born on November 29, 1906, in Virden, New Mexico, a son of James Balus and Margaret Merrill Hendricks.

Bace married Blanche Cole on November 26, 1930, in Burley, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She preceded Bace in death on May 7, 1974. Bace owned and operated a dry farm from 1935 to 1972 in Promontory, Utah. Bace moved to New Mexico in 1975, where he met and married Ruby LeNoir on February 13, 1976 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was well known as a water dowser and well driller, retiring at 90 years old.

Surviving is his wife, Ruby of Santa Fe, New Mexico; two sons, Glendon (Pat) of Brigham City and Lowell (Jean) of New Harmony, Utah; 19 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Also surviving are two-step children, Ed Frei and Jeri Lou Frei. He was preceded in death by one son, Daryl; one daughter, Marilyn; granddaughter, Noel and two brothers.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 30, at 2 p.m. at the Willard City Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Gillies-Petersen Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, Utah.
