George Samuel Hendren, the son of James and Liza Hendren, was born March 27, 1891, at Napolean, Ky., and departed this life August 2, 1964, at the Dearborn County Hospital where he had been a patient for eight months following a stroke and accident at Milan, Ind., Nov. 29, 1963, age 73 years.

He was united in marriage to Hattie Raisor of Carrollton, Ky., Dec. 30, 1914. To this union were born three children, one son and two daughters, Frank Hendren, Mrs. Darlis Scott, and Mrs. Thelma Kaiser, all of Moores Hill, Ind., Rt. 1.

Besides his wife and children he leaves to mourn his passing, two granddaughters and one grandson, June Scott and Kay Kaiser and Earl Kaiser, one granddaughter by marriage, Pamela Kaiser, two sons-in-law, Norbert Kaiser and Thomas Scott, and one daughter-in-law, Wilma Hendren; several nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends. One sister, Agnes (?) and two brothers, Ira (?) and Thomas, preceded him in death.

Mr. Hendren was baptized into the Pentecost Church at Warsaw, Ky., about 25 years ago and remained a member of the church until his passing. He was engaged in farming most of his life in Kentucky and in Indiana for the past 25 years. He has lived on a farm near Dillsboro until February 1962, when they retired and moved to town in Dillsboro.

George was a good husband, father and friend and his passing will be sad to all who knew him and loved him.
