She was the wife of C.H. Ayers, Jr. to whom she was married for 48 years.
The funeral service for Mrs. Ayers will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Irwin Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, with the Rev. Garry L. Sheaffer, care pastor of Bethel Assembly of God in Littlestown, officiating.
A viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Patricia was born November 8, 1940, in Columbus, Ga., a daughter of the late A. J. and Ethel (Carnley) Henderson.
She was a beautician for most of her working life. Prior to her illness, she was employed at the beauty parlor for Lutheran Social Services on Kelly Drive in York.
She attended the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Littlestown.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ayers will be sadly missed by three children, her sons, Michael A. Ayers of Jacksonville, Fla., and Marlon L. Ayers of Spring Grove, and her daughter, Marsha A. Knaub of Spring Grove; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn Bess of Kinston, Ala., Wynelle Grammer of Crestview, Fla., and Ruth Ward of Spring Grove; two brothers, Charles Henderson of Winter Haven, Fla., and Luther Henderson of Haines City, Fla.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Henderson and Claude Henderson; and a sister, Joyce Criswell.
