PATRICIA ELIZABETH HENDERSON LEANEAR DAY, passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, in Nashville, Tenn. A native of Middletown, Ohio, she worked at Wright- Patterson Air Force Base and the city of Middletown. While living in Fort Wayne, she retired from Lincoln Financial Group. She was a very active member in Union Baptist Church and Second Baptist in Middletown. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star-Lily of the Valley Chapter 55, a board member of the Metropolitan Football League, an active participant in Church Women United, East Wayne Street Head Start, her Neighborhood Association and an usher at the Grand Wayne Center. She loved to bowl. Surviving are her daughter, Natalie A. Bowen; son, Mark (Vanessa) E. Lenear; grandchildren, Bernard J. Gaines, Kamilyn P. VanNoy, Katrina J. Gaines, Aaron (Zaya) M. Bowen and Wesley M. Lenear; great-grandchildren, Shemeka Bratton, Devon Carroll, Tyron Blash, BreAnna Gaines, Dominique VanNoy, DeAngelo VanNoy, Tatyanna Gaines, Kiera Gaines, Quinn Puckett, Takiyah Gaines and Zane Bowen; sister-in-law, Gay E. Henderson; nephew, J. Michael (Valerie) Henderson; nieces, Lisa (Archie) Woods, Kathleen Henderson and Janine (John) Rogers; mother-in-law, Mishie L. Day; brother-in-law, Clifford Day; and many great nieces, nephews and cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Elwood Henderson; husband, Willie Lee Day; mother, Elizabeth Henderson Younger; daughter, Deborah E. Turner; brother, James E. Henderson; and aunt, Rossella Harper. Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at Union Baptist Church, 2200 Smith St. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at the church.
