Deitrich Marie Hemphill, 49, of 350 Bryant Road, Spartanburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at her home.

Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of James and Bennie Fowler Hemphill of Gaffney.

Deitrich was a 1981 graduate of Gaffney High School, an employee of TNS Mills and a member of True Holiness Church of the Living God, where she served as a member of the Young Adult Choir and as custodian.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Khadijah Walker of the home; two sisters, Ann Jefferies (Chris) and Carol Houey (Thomas), all of Gaffney; three brothers, Marlin Hemphill and Kerry Fowler (Dedra), all of Gaffney, and Jamie Hemphill (Charlene) of Forest City, N.C.

Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. at Limestone Missionary Baptist Church with Overseer Theodore Lockhart and the Rev. Michael Golden officiating.

Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. She will lie in state from 1-2 p.m.

The family is at the home of Chris and Ann Jefferies, 1163 W. Rutledge Ave., Gaffney.
