CHAMBERSBURG, Pennsylvania - Jean V. Glunt, 90, of Shook Home for the Aged
and formerly of St. Thomas, Pennsylvania, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, at Shook
Home.
Born April 18, 1910, in Knobsville, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John
R. and Laura Belle Kelso Helman.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles C. Appleby, in
1952. They were married Feb. 22, 1930. She was preceded in death by her
second husband, Harry C. Glunt, in 1987. They were married Oct. 25, 1969.
She worked for four years in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and retired from
Letterkenny Amy Depot in Chambersburg after nine years.
She was a member of United Methodist Church in St. Thomas.
She is survived by a son, James E. Appleby Sr. of St. Thomas; eight
grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, five brothers and a grandson.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297
Philadelphia Ave. in Chambersburg. The Rev. Paul F. Crawford Jr. will
officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
