Theresa Elizabeth Chenoweth, 84, of Sykesville died Friday, April 4, 2008, at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. Born March 27, 1924, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Jacob A. and Anna M. Plum Heckner. She was the wife of George Burton Chenoweth, her husband of 67 years. She had worked for C&P Telephone Co. many years ago. She was a homemaker for several years and then a school bus driver. She drove for Baltimore County Public Schools for 12 years and for McDonough School for 25 years. She enjoyed camping. She was a member of the Happy Travelers and Traveling Terrapins camp clubs. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughter and son-in-law Cecelia and Joseph Ciampa of Sykesville; sons and daughters-in-law George B. Chenoweth Jr. and Linda Chenoweth of Woodstock, and Craig and Anna Chenoweth of Westminster; a brother, Jacob A. Heckner of Sykesville; grandchildren Dean Ciampa, Theresa Hood and Jay and Brooke Chenoweth; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, George B. Chenoweth III. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. Interment will be in Lorraine Park Cemetery in Baltimore.
